Carley Hernandez

Carley V. Hernandez, MSN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC is a Tampa native and board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 30 years of nursing experience across women’s care, leadership, surgical services, and specialty practice. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Tampa and completed her Post-Master’s Certificate as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Purdue Global University.

Carley provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management for patients across the lifespan, treating mood, anxiety, psychotic, and trauma-related disorders. Her approach is holistic and patient-centered, integrating psychotherapy principles with evidence-based psychopharmacology to support long-term stability and recovery.

Throughout her nursing career, she has had the opportunity to travel internationally aboard the S.S. Explorer with Semester at Sea and participate in medical missionary work, experiences that have deepened her cultural awareness and compassion in patient care.

Outside of practice, Carley enjoys spending time with her family, relaxing outdoors, and pursuing personal growth through education and action. She embraces her role as a lifelong learner and remains committed to continual professional and personal development.
